BA — BOEING TARGETS 2030 FOR NEW NARROW-BODY JET LAUNCH, PENDING FINANCIAL RECOVERY

BullishAerospace|Manufacturing|Industrial

Boeing expects to be financially ready to launch a successor to its 737 Max narrow-body jet by the end of the decade, according to CEO Kelly Ortberg. The planemaker's ability to fund the multi-billion dollar program hinges on stabilizing its finances over the next few years and completing certifications for the 737 Max 7, Max 10, and the delayed 777X wide-body. Despite its readiness, Ortberg noted that airlines are currently more focused on operational issues with existing fleets than on demanding a new aircraft.
