JORDAN SIGNS $120M DEAL FOR BAPTISM SITE DEVELOPMENT AHEAD OF 2030 JUBILEE

Jordan has signed four agreements totaling approximately $120 million to develop 1,400 dunams of land adjacent to the Baptism Site (Al-Maghtas). The project, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, is in preparation for the second millennium anniversary of the baptism of Jesus Christ in 2030. Key components include a $50 million museum, a $40 million integrated pilgrim village, and $27 million for infrastructure, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2029.
