EGYPT — EGYPT PLANS TO EXPAND FLAX CULTIVATION TO 100,000 FEDDANS BY 2030

The Egyptian government is reviewing a comprehensive plan to develop its flax cultivation and linen industry, aiming to increase planted areas to 100,000 feddans by 2030. The strategy includes introducing high-quality seeds, mechanizing agricultural processes, and applying modern irrigation systems to boost domestic production for one of the country's historically significant crops.
