Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has revealed that Damascus is engaged in security talks with Israel, with the participation of several other nations. Al-Sharaa expressed hope that a security agreement could serve as a precursor to a comprehensive peace deal, while maintaining Syria's claim to the occupied Golan Heights. He also stated that Syria is not seeking a direct confrontation with Israel.
