India's industrial production grew at its fastest pace in nearly two years, with the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) rising 7.3% year-on-year in June. The expansion was largely propelled by strong performance in the energy and manufacturing sectors. According to data based on the new 2022-23 series, the electricity and gas supply segment surged by 10.6%, while manufacturing output increased by 7.8%.
