IRAN — IRAN ADVANCES NEW HARDENED NUCLEAR FACILITY AT JABAL AL-FA'AS NEAR NATANZ

Iran is developing a new, deeply buried nuclear facility at Jabal al-Fa'as, located 100-135 meters underground in granite rock to protect it from aerial bombardment. Since mid-2025, Iran has reportedly been moving centrifuges and other sensitive equipment to the site for storage. A successful military strike on the facility would require specialized munitions, such as the GBU-57 penetrator bomb, which poses a significant strategic challenge for the US and its allies.
