LT — L&T Q1 profit up 14%, but margins shrink on West Asia project delays

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) reported a 14% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹4,123 crore for the June quarter, though it missed analyst estimates. Revenue grew 7% to ₹67,942 crore, but Ebitda margin contracted by 92 basis points to 9.0% due to cost escalations from project delays in West Asia. The company secured new orders worth ₹1.08 trillion, up 14%, bolstered by a significant contract from Europe.
