IRAN BLACKLISTS 45 TANKERS, THREATENS SEIZURES IN STRAIT OF HORMUZ

BearishGeopolitics

Iran has escalated tensions in the Strait of Hormuz by blacklisting 45 tankers for allegedly violating its transit rules, threatening them with fines, detention, and cargo confiscation. The list includes vessels owned by ADNOC Logistics and Shipping, Navig8 Tankers, and Saudi Arabia's Bahri. A newly formed Iranian body, the Persian Gulf Strait Authority, warned that any vessel conducting ship-to-ship transfers with the named tankers could also be blacklisted, raising risks in the critical oil chokepoint.
