Finance|Trade — FPI inflows into Indian FAR bonds plummet 74% in July on oil prices, index uncertainty
BearishFinance|Trade
Foreign portfolio investment (FPI) into India's 'Fully Accessible Route' (FAR) government bonds dropped 74% in July, following a record-breaking June. Inflows slowed to ₹10,814 crore from ₹41,774 crore the previous month. Market participants attribute the sharp decline to a rebound in crude oil prices and persistent uncertainty over the inclusion of Indian bonds in the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Index.
