BearishGovernment|Policy|Legal
New Jersey officials are removing 6,600 non-U.S. citizens from the state's voter rolls after a software glitch erroneously registered them between June 2023 and June 2024. Governor Mikie Sherrill said the error occurred when individuals applied for driver's licenses and that fewer than 400 of them had cast ballots. The state has ordered the replacement of the vendor, Idemia, and is launching an investigation into the failure.
