Government — KUWAIT TO END 82 EXPAT JUDGE CONTRACTS, TARGETS 100% KUWAITIZATION BY 2030

Kuwait's Ministry of Justice is advancing its plan to nationalize the judiciary, announcing the end of secondments for 82 expatriate judges. The move will raise the Kuwaitization rate within the judiciary to 87% by September 30, 2026. Justice Minister Nasser Al-Sumait confirmed the goal is to achieve 100% Kuwaitization by October 1, 2030, as part of a broader national strategy to empower local talent.
