India to approve rare earth magnet manufacturing under next ECMS tranche

The Indian government is expected to approve the establishment of manufacturing centers for rare earth permanent magnets this month. The move, part of the next tranche of the electronics component manufacturing scheme (ECMS), aims to build domestic capacity for critical materials used in high-tech industries. Multiple applications from firms across the value chain are currently under review.
