MARUTI — India's draft CAFE-III norms propose EV-like incentives for range-extended EVs

BullishAutomotive

India's draft Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency (CAFE) III norms, released July 16, propose treating range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs) on par with battery electric vehicles (BEVs) for compliance purposes. The move, which would help automakers meet fleet emission targets, has sparked debate over the regulatory classification of the technology.
