IRAN — IRAN THREATENS TO BLOCK HORMUZ STRAIT TO SHIPS FROM NATIONS USING FROZEN ASSETS
BearishTrade
Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a stark warning that it will prevent ships from any country or company that benefits from frozen Iranian assets from passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The threat is a direct response to a US proposal to use the frozen funds to compensate for damages incurred during the recent conflict. Iran also rejected an Omani proposal for joint management of the strait with voluntary fees, insisting on its own control.
