PENTAGON — US Advanced Munitions Stockpiles Severely Depleted Amid Iran Conflict, Report Finds

U.S. inventories of critical advanced munitions, including Patriot and THAAD interceptor missiles, have fallen to dangerously low levels following the recent military escalation with Iran, according to a new report. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) analysis indicates that fewer than 827 Patriot and 278 THAAD interceptors remain in the U.S. stockpile. This sharp decline raises concerns about defense readiness amid ongoing regional tensions.
