Healthcare — BAHRAIN MP PROPOSES TIGHTER REGULATIONS FOR VISITING DOCTORS

A Bahraini member of parliament has proposed new regulations to govern the work of visiting doctors in the kingdom. The proposal would require a resident consultant of the same specialty to be present during major surgical procedures and to oversee post-operative care. The measure aims to enhance patient safety and ensure continuity of care after a visiting surgeon has left the country.
