Hong Kong stages large-scale terrorism and crowd control drill at new border port

NeutralGovernment

Hong Kong authorities conducted a major drill involving 5,000 civil servants at the newly redeveloped Huanggang border crossing to test its readiness for security and operational challenges. The exercise simulated a terrorist attack and an unexpected passenger surge ahead of the port's opening, which will feature 24/7 operations and a capacity of 200,000 daily passengers. The government is conducting a series of tests to finalize the opening date for the key cross-border facility.
