SUDAN — UN Report Exposes Covert Air Bridge Supplying Weapons, Mercenaries to Sudan's RSF
BearishGeopolitics
A United Nations report has uncovered a clandestine logistics network that used Boeing 727 aircraft to transport weapons, drones, and foreign mercenaries to aid Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The investigation, which links the operation to a U.S. military contractor, found that flights operated from Chad to RSF-controlled areas in Darfur. The report estimates that 1,500 to 2,000 Colombian mercenaries, known as the "Desert Wolves," were transported to fight alongside the RSF, violating a long-standing UN arms embargo on the region.
