BRENT — OIL JUMPS >3% IN ASIAN TRADING; BRENT CRUDE SURPASSES $90/BBL MARK

Oil prices surged over 3% in early Asian trading, with the Brent crude benchmark climbing past the $90 per barrel threshold for the first time in years. Brent futures rose $2.75, or 3.12%, to trade at $90.85 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also saw significant gains, increasing by $2.56, or 3.10%, to reach $85.05 per barrel.
