KARNATAKA SUSPENDS FOOD LICENSES FOR AMAZON, SWIGGY INSTAMART, BIGBASKET
BearishRegulation
Karnataka's food safety regulator has suspended the food licenses of Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, and BigBasket after discovering the sale of toxic datura fruits and seeds on their platforms. The action was prompted by a social media complaint about a child consuming a datura fruit sent as a free item with an order. The licenses of the sellers supplying the items to the platforms have also been suspended.
