Indian corporate revenue growth hits 15-quarter high of 18.4% in Q1FY27

Listed Indian companies reported their fastest revenue growth in 15 quarters for the April-June period, with combined net sales for a sample of 3,458 firms rising 18.4% year-on-year to ₹47.27 trillion. Combined adjusted net profit grew 16% to ₹4.58 trillion, led by strong performance in the mining, metals, and banking sectors. However, high energy and commodity prices squeezed margins, with the operating margin for non-financial firms falling by 200 basis points to a 13-quarter low of 16.9%.
