INDIA-TRADE — India's apparel export share stagnates as Vietnam's doubles over decade

India's share of the global apparel export market has remained flat over the past decade, standing at 4.0% in 2025 compared to 4.1% in 2015. Over the same period, competitor Vietnam more than doubled its market share from 4.8% to 10.2%. China remains the dominant exporter, though its share fell from 39.3% to 31.3%, while Bangladesh's share grew from 6.4% to 7.9%.
