OpenAI has agreed to a $3.2 million settlement with the U.S. Justice Department over allegations that it discriminated against American workers. The DOJ's civil rights division claimed the AI startup favored temporary visa holders by making it difficult for U.S. workers to apply for certain positions. While OpenAI disagreed with the findings, it settled to resolve the matter.
