NPCI Likely to Extend MDR Waiver for RuPay Credit Cards on UPI Transactions

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is expected to extend the waiver on merchant discount rates (MDR) for transactions made with RuPay credit cards via the UPI platform. The measure is intended to further encourage the adoption and use of credit cards on UPI. A formal decision on the extension is anticipated shortly.
