TAK — India approves Takeda's QDENGA, the country's first dengue vaccine

India's drug regulator has approved QDENGA, the country's first vaccine for dengue, developed by Takeda Pharmaceuticals. The live-attenuated vaccine is authorized for use in individuals aged 4 to 60, regardless of prior dengue exposure. The approval is a significant step for India, which carries nearly one-third of the global dengue burden and previously had no specific treatment for the mosquito-borne disease.
