Climate|ESG — Kuwait ramps up mangrove restoration to combat climate change, protect coastline

Kuwait is intensifying efforts to re-establish mangrove forests as a key part of its national strategy to mitigate climate change and enhance coastal protection. The country, which joined the Mangrove Alliance for Climate, aims to plant thousands of seedlings by 2035, restoring ecosystems that disappeared in the 1950s. The project, centered in the Jahra Nature Reserve, is already showing positive impacts on biodiversity, including the return of migratory birds like flamingos.
