CATL — China rapidly expands battery storage to 155 GW to support grid amid AI boom

BullishRenewables

China has massively scaled its grid-level battery storage capacity, soaring from under 4 gigawatts five years ago to approximately 155 GW in the first quarter, as it seeks to stabilize its power grid amid the AI-driven surge in electricity demand.
