BullishGovernment
Incoming UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham will scrap his predecessor's plan for digital ID cards and redirect the funds toward cost-of-living relief. The new government is also preparing measures to give free bus travel to 11-16 year olds and to cut household energy bills by an average of £130 a year. The energy bill proposal, from the Nesta think tank, would cost the Treasury an estimated £3.2bn annually.
