INDONESIA — INDONESIAN CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR RESIGNS, ADDING TO ECONOMIC UNCERTAINTY

Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo has resigned from his post citing personal reasons, a move that deepens uncertainty for Southeast Asia's largest economy. Warjiyo's second term was set to expire in 2028. The resignation comes as Indonesia grapples with a weakening rupiah, which has fallen about 7% since February, making it Asia's worst-performing currency amid surging energy costs from the Middle East conflict.
