Business chambers outline priorities for Hong Kong's first five-year plan

Major business groups, including AmCham and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, have urged the government to prioritize the Northern Metropolis, AI development, and financial market reinforcement in its inaugural five-year plan. In submissions, the chambers emphasized the need for streamlined governance of the megaproject and deeper integration with the Greater Bay Area's financial markets. The blueprint, covering 2026-2030, is expected to be published in September.
