BHARATPE — BharatPe, Centrum in legal dispute over Unity SFB capital structure
BearishLegal
A dispute has erupted between Unity Small Finance Bank's shareholders, BharatPe and Centrum Financial Services, over a proposed change in the lender's capital structure. The Delhi High Court has restrained the bank from increasing its authorized share capital from ₹4,000 crore to ₹4,900 crore without written consent from BharatPe. The fintech major fears the move, intended to facilitate the conversion of warrants, could dilute its stake in the bank from 49% to 21%.
