NVO — Novo Nordisk sues Eli Lilly, escalating weight-loss drug advertising war

Novo Nordisk has filed a lawsuit against rival Eli Lilly, alleging it is running a "deliberately false" advertising campaign for its weight-loss and diabetes drugs. The suit, filed in a New Jersey court, claims Lilly uses outdated clinical data to assert the superiority of its Zepbound and Mounjaro treatments over Novo's Wegovy and Ozempic. Novo Nordisk is seeking a permanent injunction and the disgorgement of all profits earned from the contested ads.
