JORDAN-US TRADE PACT TO DEEPEN ECONOMIC TIES, BOOST INVESTMENT, SAYS MINISTER

Jordan's Minister of Industry and Trade, Yarub Qudah, stated that the recently signed reciprocal trade agreement with the United States establishes a new phase of comprehensive economic cooperation. Speaking at an AmCham Jordan event, Qudah emphasized the pact complements the existing Free Trade Agreement by providing additional advantages for Jordanian products, particularly in the apparel and textile sectors. The minister projected the deal would increase demand for local goods, attract new investment, and create more jobs for Jordanians.
