The Indian Ministry of Defence's annual report states that there was a significant reduction in Chinese troop deployment along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in 2025. The report noted that 10 combined arms brigades, translating to about 45,000-50,000 troops, were deployed along the northern borders, down from nearly 60,000 during the 2020 border crisis.
