BullishEnergy|Nuclear
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is negotiating with major Indian firms including Reliance Industries, Adani Group, NTPC, and Larsen & Toubro to commercialise its indigenous 300-megawatt small modular reactor. The plan involves creating an industry-backed special purpose vehicle to hold the intellectual property and drive development. The project, with a targeted capital expenditure of Rs 30 crore per MW, has an indicative cost of Rs 9,000 crore and is central to India's goal of achieving 100 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047.
