Infrastructure — KUWAIT, CHINA SIGN $3.25B DEAL FOR NORTH KABD WASTEWATER PLANT

Kuwait has awarded a KWD 999.8 million (approx. $3.25 billion) contract to a Chinese entity for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the North Kabd wastewater treatment plant. The deal, signed by Public Works Minister Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, is the second major cooperation agreement with China and aims to enhance Kuwait's infrastructure and environmental sustainability to meet urban growth demands. The project was approved by the Central Agency for Public Tenders and the State Audit Bureau.
