Renewables — India's solar and wind power generation surges over 25% in Q1 FY27

Renewable energy generation in India saw a significant increase, with combined output from solar and wind sources jumping more than 25% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Total generation from these sources reached 50 billion units (BU) during the April-June period. This growth highlights the accelerating pace of renewable capacity addition in the country's power mix.
