AON NEARS $17B ACQUISITION OF KKR-OWNED INSURANCE BROKER USI

Aon is finalizing a deal to acquire insurance brokerage and consulting firm USI from KKR for approximately $17 billion, including debt. The acquisition is expected to expand Aon's presence in the midsize business market and be accretive to earnings per share by 2028. KKR, along with Canadian investment firm CDPQ, took USI private in 2017 in a $4.3 billion transaction.
