JOR — WATER SHORTAGES AFFECT ELEVATED AREAS IN JORDAN'S JERASH GOVERNORATE

Residents in several elevated areas of the Jerash governorate in northern Jordan are experiencing significant water supply disruptions this summer, forcing many to purchase water from expensive private tankers. While water authorities have installed additional pumps to stabilize the network, some areas like Najda and Al-Husseiniyat continue to face challenges due to their geography and are being supplied by tankers as a temporary measure.
