XAU — GOLD RISES TOWARD WEEKLY HIGH; SPOT PRICE HITS $4,023.56/OZ

Gold prices climbed during Tuesday's session, with spot gold gaining 0.5% to reach $4,023.56 per ounce by 1046 GMT. U.S. gold futures for August delivery also saw an uptick, rising 0.3% to $4,028. Other precious metals were mixed, as silver increased 0.9% to $56.93/oz, while platinum dipped 0.2% to $1,591.22/oz and palladium added 0.3% to $1,256.68/oz.
