Vodafone Idea seeks ₹35,000-crore loan for capex; SBI may lead consortium

Vodafone Idea is negotiating a ₹35,000-crore, 10-year term loan to fund its capital expenditure over the next decade. The telecom operator is assembling a consortium of eight to ten lenders, with State Bank of India (SBI) expected to take the lead with an exposure of around ₹7,000 crore. The loan is part of a larger ₹60,000 crore funding requirement to upgrade its services.
