Enlife, a startup incubated at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), is developing an artificial intelligence-powered blood test for the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. The platform, which is being calibrated for Indian genetic profiles, analyzes up to 100 biological markers to generate a single risk score. The company is targeting an equipment cost of around Rs 15 lakh, a fraction of the Rs 8-10 crore cost for some existing diagnostic systems.
