HDFC Bank submits CEO picks to RBI: internal chief Bharucha, one external candidate

HDFC Bank has proposed two candidates to the Reserve Bank of India for its next CEO: current Deputy Managing Director Kaizad Bharucha and one external candidate. The external shortlist reportedly included ICICI Prudential Life CEO Anup Bagchi and Citi India CEO K Balasubramanian. The bank has also requested a six-month relaxation of tenure rules to allow Bharucha a full three-year term if selected.
