BANKBARODA — Bank of Baroda hit by major cyberattack; 1TB customer data allegedly leaked

State-owned Bank of Baroda has suffered a significant data breach, with a hacker group allegedly leaking nearly 1 terabyte of customer data on the dark web. The compromised data reportedly includes records for savings, current, and loan accounts, as well as corporate and NRI banking details. The bank stated that an employee's email account was compromised but its core banking systems remain secure, and a forensic investigation has been launched.
