MPW — Kuwait inks $3.2B deal with China for Kabd North wastewater plant construction

Kuwait has awarded a KWD 999.8 million (approx. USD 3.25 billion) contract to a Chinese firm for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Kabd North wastewater treatment plant. The project, the second major strategic agreement with China, aims to enhance Kuwait's infrastructure to meet urban growth and will have a capacity of one million cubic meters per day. The plant will utilize advanced environmental treatment methods and renewable energy to produce high-quality water for irrigation and industrial use.
