Infrastructure — Odisha drafts new aviation policy, targets 10 airports and 2 int'l gateways by 2030

The Odisha government has unveiled a draft civil aviation policy aiming to double the number of operational airports to 10 and develop two new greenfield international airports by 2030. The new international airports are planned for Puri, to boost tourism, and Paradip, as a cargo-centric hub. The ambitious plan seeks to handle 10 million passengers and 1.5 million tonnes of cargo annually, positioning airports as catalysts for industrial growth and economic development.
